Sudhir Choudhrie: London-based Indian businessman running empires worth billions

Sudhir Choudhrie is a highly successful entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of global leadership experience. As well as funding educational initiatives, Sudhir Choudhrie has been involved in the running of educational and social enterprises and sponsoring the Olympics through the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Sudhir Choudhrie has devoted his time and expertise to many global organizations, from the World Trade Organisation and the U.S. State Department to the United Nations. He has also been deeply involved in diplomatic negotiations between nations. He has been involved with U.K. diplomacy on several occasions, particularly through his role as an Executive Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Overseas Development Institute, an independent non-profit organization to improve the lives of people in developing countries by improving the quality of life and opportunities for growth in these countries.

He has been a major force behind several influential foundations and charitable organizations such as Asian Aid, Young Minds, Bangladesh, Cultivate Art, Acumen, The Sunlight Foundation, Harmony Foundation, and Asthma U.K.

Sudhir Choudhrie has also contributed to completing several major international and commercial projects, including developing infrastructure in the Maldives, Malaysia, and Kuwait, together with the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. Sudhir is a well-known philanthropist. He is an Honorary President of the British-based charity Help for Heroes and is an Honorary Director of the U.K.-based charity Quantum Leap U.K.
